This week I am going to discuss the results of the poll. I was happy to see that I got a lot more votes then I did last time. The one with the most votes is Backstreet Boys with 2 votes. Tied in 2nd with one vote each is One Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer, N'sync, and Duran Duran.

The new poll topic is if you can see anyone is concert that is dead who would you see/  I think it
would be cool to see queen with all of the original members. I also would want to see Michael Jackson,
I know a lot of his songs because my mom really likes him.

I hope you go answer the poll question if you can see anyone is concert that is dead who would you see

For this week I decide to try the shuffle song poem. I will put my iphone on shuffle and the first ten song I write down the first lyric.

Songs:
Without the Bitter the Sweet isn't as sweet by Mayday Parade
King for a Day by Pierce the Veil
Dream on by Aerosmith
I'm Alright by Jake Miller
Fat Lip by Sum 41
My Songs know what you did in the Dark by Fall out Boy
You're so Creepy by Ghost Town
Young Volcanoes by Fall out Boy
Dear Maria, Count Me In By All time low
Basket Case by Green Day

Poem:

We used to be something surreal
Dare me to jump off of this Jersey bridge?
Every time that I look in the mirror
Today I met a man, sittin' on the corner
Storming through the party like my name was El ninio
B-B-B-Be careful making wishes in the dark, dark
For so long now I've been coming to your rescue (got me thinking I'll get you)
When Rome's in ruins, we are the lions
I got your picture, I'm coming with you

Do you have the time

What do you think?- Saturday

You are probably wondering why I am posting another blog post when I already posted one this week. Well I decide that I would write another one. This weeks theme is What do you think? I will be talking about my favourite genre of music and my least favourite. And there will also be a poll on my blog where you can vote on your favourite genre.

My top favourite genres would have to be pop punk, punk, rock and music from the 80's and 90's. The thing I like about these genres is that very melodic and I like  to listen to when I am in a good mood, bad mood, sad mood, any kind of mood. Whatever mood or emotion that you feel there is a song out there that describes, talks about that emotion or event that has happened in your life or something similar to what you are feeling.

My least favourite genre is pop. I do like some pop songs but a lot of them I find it just repeats the chorus over and over again. I also find that a lot of the songs that are pop don't have a really moving meaning, and by that I mean a lot of the songs talk about sex, drinking, and drugs. Also a lot of the people that sing these pop songs are not very good role models. Take Justin Bieber for example, he's been caught spitting on people, vandalizing private/public property, and lots more.

I hope you don't get mad at me for what I said and I am sorry if I offended anyone but I am just speaking about my thoughts. Make sure to answer the poll on my blog and I will write a new post next week.

Top Music Videos from the 80's- Monday

I was trying to think of a topic about music videos for this week. I was sitting in the car with my mom and she put on sirius xm on the 80s channel. The song thriller came on by Micheal Jackson. I then thought about how cool the music video was and how cool the dance was. Then it got me thinking. I came across the idea of talking about that top ten music videos from the 80's. I searched online to see what the top music videos are and on billboard.com then did on poll to see what people thought the top videos. As I was going through and watching all the videos, I thought that all the videos deserved the place that they got (I have not seen a lot of music videos from the 80s). I am going to tell you what I like about all music videos.

80's music has a big impact on history. It exposed us to hip hop, rap, and heavy metal.

Now lets get to the top ten music videos of the 80s

At number 10 it is "Rhythm Nation" By Janet Jackson

This video was made in 1989. This video is in black and white and Janet Jackson and her crew put on their military jackets. What I really like about the video is the choreographed routine. I think it looks really hard to do and I don't think I would be able to do it. This song was released on the album title Rhythm Nation, which is her fourth studio album.

Number 9 is Every Breath You Take By The Police.

This video was made in 1993 and was the biggest hit. It was US #1 for 8 weeks
At the first MTV Video Music Awards in 1983, this won for Best Cinematography. This video is in black and white. This video shows jazz musicians playing instruments.

Number 8 is Walk This Way By RUN-D.M.C. and Aerosmith.

This video was made in 1986. I really like Aerosmith's music because my mom listens to them all the time. The Run-D.M.C. video is the first that Tyler and Perry appeared in. It was the first time many young Aerosmith fans saw what they looked like. The Run-D.M.C. cover launched Aerosmith's comeback.

Number 7 is Hungry Like A Wolf By Duran Duran

This video was made in 1983. I remember hearing this song in The "Far Far Away Idol" contest at the end of the movie Shrek 2 featured a performance of the song by the Big Bad Wolf.
This was the band's breakthrough hit in the US. It's success originated from MTV, which had only just come on air, showing their video of the band in the Sri Lanka jungle

Number 6 is Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel

This video was made in 1986 The video was directed by Stephen R. Johnson. I really liked how they used stop-motion claymation techniques in the video.

Now we are down to the top five music videos of the 80's

Number 5 is When Doves Cry by Prince

This video was made in 1984. Prince wrote this song for his movie Purple Rain. In the US, this was the #1 song of 1984. It topped the charts for five weeks over the summer.

Number 4 is Take on Me by A-Ha

This video was made in 1985. I really like that the video changes from real to chartoon. The video was inspired by the transformation scene in the 1980 film Altered States. Every scene was shot live then projected onto paper and traced. I really like this song.

Number 3 is Girls Just Want To Have Fun By Cyndi Lauper

This video was made in 1983. Cyndi wanted 'Girls Just Want To Have Fun' to be an anthem for women around the world. I really like the bright, outrageous clothes that the girls are wearing in this video.

Number 2 is Like a Prayer By Madonna

This video was made in 1989. This video today has more then 10,000,000 views on the original upload and other uploads of it. I don't really like the video. I feel like the video does not have a good story and I find the video boring.

We are finally at number 1. The number one music video in the 80s is, drum roll please.

Thriller By Michael Jackson.

This video was made in 1983. I remember when I was in grade seven and we had to learn the dance to this song. We also had to perform the song in front of the school  , it was lots of fun.

So that was the top ten music videos from the 80's. I want you to leave in the comments whether you agree or disagree with the top videos. I will see you all next week.
